About Isonye Foundation
Isonye Foundation for Inclusive Healthcare gets its name from the Igbo (Southeastern Nigerian) word “isonye” meaning “to participate” or “to include”. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organization which started informally in 2017 and was formally registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission in February 2020 with the registration number 143716. The foundation was born out of the need to make it easier for persons with disability (PWDs) to have inclusive access to services and materials that are necessary for their good health.

To ensure that Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are not left behind in getting access to preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare.
Our Vision
An environment where good health and well-being is not a luxury but a right for children and people with disabilities.
Our Objectives
To carry out community-based medical missions targeted at, but not limited to children and persons with disabilities.
To undertake programs that will promote the physical, mental, social and reproductive health of women and girls with disabilities
To provide support for underprivileged children with disabling conditions.

Building the capacity of healthworkers to provide disability-inclusive services. Enhancing the financial capacity of PWDs to maintain good health. Promoting improved access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene services for PWDs. Influencing policy and legislation for disability-inclusion.
